Resolution approving an amendment to the Community Development Block Grant Action Plan, B-96 through B-06-MC-55-0001, increasing the budgeted amount of $100,000 for the Six Points/Farmers Market Redevelopment Project by $218,308.60 for a total of $318,308.60.  

 

Body

 

WHEREAS, the Six Points/Farmers Market Redevelopment Project and the aforesaid project costs are eligible for Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) funds; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of West Allis approved on October 4, 2005, the original CDBG funding for the Six Points/Farmers Market Redevelopment Project under Resolution No. R-2005-0244; and,

 

WHEREAS, the project involves the catalytic projects within the Six Points/Farmers Market Redevelopment area such as the renovations of the historic Farmers Market; and,

 

WHEREAS, the renovation of the Farmers Market is an eligible project because of the service provided for low/moderate-income families and because the location of the Farmers Market is within a low/moderate-income neighborhood; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Director of Development has recommended approval of the amendment. 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that it hereby approves an amendment to the Community Development Block Grant Action Plan, B-96 through B-06-MC-55-0001, increasing the budgeted amount of $100,000 for the Six Points/Farmers Market Redevelopment Project by $218,308.60 for a total of $318,308.60.  

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funding for the Six Points/Farmers Market Redevelopment Project be made available through a reduction to the following programs:

 

$153,123.00 from the Contingency Fund

$  24,070.69 from the S. 70 Street Streetscape Project

$  37,723.47 from the 2003 and 2004 Commercial Facade Projects

$    3,391.44 from Graffiti Removal
