Title

Resolution relating to public access to information and records within the custody of the City of West Allis.

Body

WHEREAS, the City of West Allis (the "City") adopted Resolution No. 26838 on September 4, 2001 adopting a policy on obtaining information and access to records within the custody of the municipal government of the City (the "Policy"); and,

WHEREAS, the restructuring of various City departments and offices, the creation of additional committees, and the updating of fee charges has made it necessary to revise the Policy in order to make it consistent with the current status and practices of the City.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that it does hereby repeal the Policy adopted by Resolution No. 26838 and in its stead adopts the attached policy on obtaining information and access to records within the custody of the municipal government of the City of West Allis.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk/Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to publish the attached policy by means of notice, in the form attached, and to make the notice available for display, inspection, and copying in each of the municipal offices of the City of West Allis.
