Resolution establishing the City of West Allis Legislative Package for the 2011-2012 State of Wisconsin Legislative Session.
Body
WHEREAS, the State of Wisconsin Legislature is now back in session for the 2011-2012 Biennium; and,
WHEREAS, the State Legislature will be considering much legislation that will affect the City either positively or negatively; and,
WHEREAS, during the State Legislative session, the City's Legislative Committee meets regularly to review and comment on proposed legislation; and,
WHEREAS, for the last biennial session or two, the City's Legislative Committee has developed the City's own set of legislative ideas and priorities for consideration by the State Legislature; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to again develop a Legislative Package for presentation to the Governor, State Assembly, State Senate, and our area representatives and senators.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the attached City of West Allis Legislative Package for the 2011-2012 State of Wisconsin Legislative Session be and is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the City Administrative Officer, Clerk/Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to provide copies of said legislative package to Governor Walker, State Assembly and State Senate leaders, area representatives and senators, and the League of Wisconsin Municipalities.
