Resolution relative to temporary shared parking for the City-owned parking lot located at 8001 W. National Ave. and 80** W. National Ave.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis purchased the property at 8001 W. National Ave. and 80** W. National Ave. on October 24, 2005; and,
WHEREAS, the properties are parking lots which the City is not using at the present time; and,
WHEREAS, there are adjacent businesses who have requested permission to temporarily use those parking lots for additional off-street parking for their businesses; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Community Development Authority authorizes the Department of Development to negotiate the terms of the lease contract with prospective users and to execute an agreement to lease the subject properties on a month-to-month basis.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be and is hereby authorized to make such non-substantive changes, modifications, additions and deletions to and from the various provisions of the lease contract, including any and all attachments, exhibits, addendums and amendments, as may be necessary and proper to correct inconsistencies, eliminate ambiguity and otherwise clarify and supplement said provisions to preserve and maintain the general intent thereof, and to prepare and deliver such other and further documents as may be reasonably necessary to complete the transactions contemplated therein.
