Resolution to transfer up to $300,000 from the Capital Accumulation Account to the Fire Department Equipment Account (100-2201-522.70-03) for the purchase of a new fire engine.

WHEREAS, the Fire Department is in need of purchasing a new fire engine; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the engine for the Fire Department is approximately $560,000; and
WHEREAS, the final cost is not yet determined; and
WHEREAS, at the current time, the Fire Department has approximately $816,000 in its Capital Accumulation for Fire Vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the Police & Fire Commission approved the purchase of this engine at its meeting on October 15, 2015.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that up to $300,000 is hereby approved for transfer from the City's Capital Accumulation Account to the Fire Department's Equipment Account (100-2201-522.70-03) for the purchase of the new fire engine.
