WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of Capitol Pavers, Inc. for 2005 Project No. 1 be accepted.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of Capitol Pavers, Inc. for 2005 Project No. 1:

 

Street Construction

W. Orchard St. from S. 76 St. to s. 82 St.

(Plan File No(s). SP-1098, U-2371, U-2372, U-2373, W-1213, W-1214 & W-1215)

 

and

 

Storm Sewer and Utility Adjustments

S. 95 St. from W. Lincoln Ave. to W. Hayes Ave.

(Plan File No. U-2374)

 

for the sum of Eight Hundred Seventy Thousand, Five Hundred Fifty-One Dollars and Thirty Cents ($870,551.30)

 

be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding by Bond Funds, Water Utility Funds, Sanitary Sewer Funds, Storm Water Management Funds, State Funds and Special Assessments.
