Resolution approving a professional services contract with Ruekert/Mielke for the design of Centennial Plaza in an amount not to exceed $64,747.25.

Body
WHEREAS, the West Allis Community Improvement Foundation, Inc. and the City of West Allis have received contributions and/or pledges of Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($450,000) for the design and construction of Centennial Plaza; and,

WHEREAS, the West Allis Community Improvement Foundation, Inc. and the City of West Allis have received contributions and/or pledges of Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($450,000) to date with the intent to raise an additional Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000) for a total of Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($650,000) for the design and construction of Centennial Plaza; and,

WHEREAS, detailed design, construction documents and bid documents need to be prepared by Ruekert/Mielke so the project can be publicly bid on; and,

WHEREAS, sufficient contributions are available in the City's Centennial Fund to pay Ruekert/Mielke the sum of Sixty-Four Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-Seven and 25/100 Dollars ($64,747.25) to the City of West Allis for the detailed design and the preparation of construction and bid documents of Centennial Plaza; and,

WHEREAS, it is the intent of the West Allis Community Improvement Foundation, Inc. and the City of West Allis that the total project cost will not exceed the amount of the sum of private funds raised for the design and construction of Centennial Plaza.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis as follows:

1. That the contract, hereby attached and made a part hereof, is hereby approved.

2. That the City Attorney be and is hereby authorized to make such non-substantive changes, modifications, additions and deletions to and from the various provisions of the Amendment, including any and all attachments, exhibits, addendums and amendments, as may be necessary and prope...
