Title

Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of 3M Library Systems to provide a Radio Frequency Identification Security System (RFID) for a total net sum of $531,849.00.

 

Body

WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a proposal for furnishing and delivering a RFID Security System to the West Allis Public Library; and,

 

WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of 3M Library Systems be accepted; and,

 

WHEREAS, the West Allis Public Library has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection due to the request to have equipment specifically used with other communities in the area for compatibility and perferred pricing.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated November 15, 2006 submitted by 3M Library Systems to furnish and deliver a RFID Security System.  The proposal is for a three year period, $170,176.00 in 2006; $171,673.00 in 2007 and $190,000.00 in 2008 for the total net sum of $531,849.00 be and is hereby accepted.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
