Title
Resolution relative to the City of West Allis approval of the Amended and Restated Wisconsin CLASS Intergovernmental Agreement for continued participation in the Wisconsin CLASS Investment Group.
Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of West Allis in 1996 had authorized the City's participation in the Wisconsin CLASS Municipal Investment Pool; and,
WHEREAS, the original organizational documents consisted of three (3) agreements: an Intergovernmental Agreement, a Program Administration Agreement, and a Custodial Agreement; and,
WHEREAS, those original documents are being consolidated into one new, amended and restated intergovernmental agreement; and,
WHEREAS, the new agreement has been created in order to have a simplified, more easily understood, unified, and streamlined document to assist in marketing, increased participation, and improved financial results; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of West Allis to continue to participate in this intergovernmental investment pool as one of many options for the investment of City funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the attached Amended and Restated Wisconsin CLASS intergovernmental Agreement be approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to take such appropriate actions to execute the applicable documents on behalf of the City providing for continued participation in the Wisconsin CLASS Investment Pool.
