Resolution allocating Community Development Block Grant Recovery Funds to the Community Development Authority of the City of West Allis to perform an Economic Catalyst Activity at 1960 S. 67 Place.
Body
WHEREAS, the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded the City of West Allis that under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act that the City is eligible to receive $375,485 in Community Development Block Grant Recovery (CDBG-R) Funds; and,
WHEREAS, the Community Development Authority of West Allis (the “Authority”) is administrating a redevelopment project at 1960 S. 67 Place on behalf of the City of West Allis;
WHEREAS, the CDBG-R funds are allocated to the Authority for an Economic Catalyst activity to improve the conditions at 1960 S. 67 Place in order to attract development and job opportunities.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council of the City of West Allis hereby allocates Community Development Block Grant Recovery Funds to the Community Development Authority of the City of West Allis to perform an Economic Catalyst Activity at 1960 S. 67 Place.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Authority will be responsible to be in compliance with all required federal regulations for the CDBG-R funds.
