Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Bloom Companies, LLC to provide Engineering Consulting Services for the construction of the West Allis Cross-Town Connector Bike and Pedestrian Trail for a total sum not to exceed $130,000.00.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it duly advertised an Engineering Consulting Services request for proposal on behalf of the City of West Allis Engineering Department; and,
WHEREAS, subsequent to the evaluation team rating the firms, the team unanimously recommended that the contract be awarded to the best qualified firm, Bloom Companies, LLC; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Bloom Companies, LLC be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated June 14, 2013 submitted by Bloom Companies, LLC for furnishing Engineering Consulting Services for the construction of the West Allis Cross-Town Connector Bike and Pedestrian Trail for a total sum not to exceed $130,000.00 in accordance with City of West Allis RFP #1201 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the total sum not to exceed of $130,000, includes up to $104,000 which was approved for funding by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (80% federal/state share with the remaining 20% local share to be funded by Tax Incremental Financing, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, Capital Improvement Funds and/or Special Projects Balance Sheet Account Funds).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council authorizes the Director of Public Works/City Engineer or his designee, to negotiate, enter into, execute and deliver a contract by and between the City of West Allis and Bloom Companies, LLC for the aforesaid services.
