Resolution to approve bid of MJ Construction, Inc. for sanitary sewer relay, water main relay and building services in South 100th Street from West Greenfield Avenue to 420' S. of West Orchard Street in the City of West Allis in the amount of $242,040.00.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of MJ Construction, Inc. for 2012 Project No. 12 be accepted.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of MJ Construction, Inc. for 2012 Project No. 12 for:
 
sanitary sewer relay, water main relay and building services in:
 
South 100th Street from West Greenfield Avenue to 420' S. of West Orchard Street
 
 
for the sum of Two Hundred Forty-Two Thousand Forty and 00/100 dollars ($242,040.00)
 
be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding by Water Utility Funds, Sanitary Sewer Funds and funding from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
