Title

An Ordinance to Amend Section 2.56(1) of the City of West Allis Revised Municipal Code changing how the Youth Commission is constituted.

Body

The Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:

PART I.  Paragraph three of Section 2.56(1) of the City of West Allis Revised Municipal Code is hereby amended, as noted, to remove the specific number of designees the School Superintendent may appoint, allowing the Superintendent to name as many designees as he/she chooses. This option is also available to the School Board President and School Recreation Director as a means of addressing meeting attendance.

                     2.56. YOUTH COMMISSION

(1) How Constituted. . . .

In addition to the regular members of the Youth Commission, nine (9) adult advisors to the Youth Commission shall serve as ex officio members. Said members shall be the following individuals, or their designees: Mayor, Common Council President, School Board President, School Superintendent (two (2) designees), Police Chief, School Recreation Director, and two (2) Citizens at Large.

PART II.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

PART III.  This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
