Resolution authorizing staff to enter into an agreement with Westallion Brewing Company and other similar breweries/craft brewers to set up a beer tent and/or beer garden at the City of West Allis Farmer's Market.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis has been approached by breweries/craft brewers, including Westallion Brewing Company located at 1825 S. 72nd Street in West Allis, to provide beer garden experiences at the West Allis Farmer's Market that would include the sale of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and may include the sale of food and merchandise, and may include the provision of family entertainment such as music and games; and

WHEREAS, such events are intended to compliment the offerings of the Farmer's Market during the hours of operation of the Farmer's Market and to be stand-alone events on days/during hours the Farmer's Market is not operating; and

WHEREAS, the Common Council would like to allow the breweries/craft brewers to set up their beer gardens at the Farmer's Market for the benefit and enjoyment of those who visit the Farmer's Market, to draw additional visitors to the Farmer's Market, and to provide enjoyable stand-alone events for the residents of and visitors to the City of West Allis; and

WHEREAS, Westallion Brewing Company would like to set up a beer tent at and during hours of operation of the Farmer's Market on September 22, 2018; and

WHEREAS, for the best interest of the City of West Allis and in order to provide the most positive experience possible, the Common Council deems it appropriate and necessary to enter into agreements with said breweries/craft brewers, similar to the attached Beer Garden Agreement with Westallion Brewing Company, to establish the conditions and requirements for beer gardens to operate at the Farmer's Market.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Health Commissioner is hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached...
