Title

Resolution authorizing change of the polling place for the Eleventh Ward of the Second Aldermanic District from Jefferson School to Jefferson Fieldhouse.

Body

WHEREAS, Jefferson School is the current voting location for both Ward 11 and Ward 12 of the Second Aldermanic District; and,

WHEREAS, the facilities at Jefferson School accommodating both voting places are sometimes crowded; and,

WHEREAS, it is desirable to move one of the two wards to another location; and,

WHEREAS, Ward 11 has 100 more registered voters than Ward 12; and,

WHEREAS, Jefferson Fieldhouse is located very close to Jefferson School and can be accommodated as a voting place with minimal preparation.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the polling place for the Eleventh Ward of the Second Aldermanic District shall be changed from Jefferson School, 7729 West Becher Street, to Jefferson Fieldhouse, 7320 West Grant Street, and said location is hereby designated as the polling place for the Eleventh Ward of the Second Aldermanic District, effective with the September, 2004 election.
