Resolution to amend the FY 2004 Neighborhood Greenspace Project of the Community Development Block Grant Program.
Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council approved a Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) activity called Neighborhood Greenspace Project to improve the corner at 5939 W. Beloit Rd.; and,
WHEREAS, the activity was established to address the environmental conditions of the site, improve the appearance of the site, and provide landscaping to aesthetically enhance the site for the neighborhood and commercial corridor; and,
WHEREAS, the activity meets CDBG requirements to serve and benefit low to moderate income residents and is within an eligible CDBG area; and,
WHEREAS, additional environmental consulting is required to close wells on the site, obtain site closure, and complete the grant reimbursement process for the Petroleum Environmental Cleanup Grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that it hereby amends the FY 2004 Neighborhood Greenspace Project of the Community Development Block Grant Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the amendment increases the activity budget from $10,000 to $13,300 by transferring $3,300 from the CDBG Contingency Funds.
