Title

Resolution Authorizing and Directing the City Engineer and City Attorney to Reduce the Business Automobile Liability Insurance Requirements for Fluxdesign from $1,000,000 to $500,000. (Sponsored by Ald. Narlock).

Body

WHEREAS, Fluxdesign has been selected to design, build and install a sign for the Gateway area located at 70th and Walker Streets; and,

WHEREAS, the $50,000 contract is not the typical construction contract and therefore, the usual automobile insurance requirements may be excessive; and,

WHEREAS, City staff feels that by reducing the Business Automobile Liability Insurance requirements from $1,000,000 to $500,000 will not expose our taxpayers to excessive risk and will save $800 in additional costs; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the City Engineer, along with other appropriate City Officials, be and is hereby authorized and directed to reduce the Business Automobile Liability Insurance requirements for the Fluxdesign contract to $500,000.  All other liability insurance and bond requirements remain in force.
