Resolution rescinding all previous resolutions relative to the establishment of the West Allis Suggestion Award Committee and recommending the Committee be dissolved, and deleting Policy 1406 “Employee Suggestion Award Program” from the Policies & Procedures Manual.
Body
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 18727, dated November 16, 1976, provided for the establishment of a Suggestion Award Committee, as further amended by Resolution No 23669, dated May 5, 1992; and
WHEREAS, the new Pay-for-Performance Program is replacing the Employee Suggestion Award Program, and the new performance program addresses individual job innovation; and
WHEREAS, with the elimination of the Employee Suggestion Award Program, the Suggestion Award Committee no longer serves a viable function and is recommended to be dissolved; and
WHEREAS, Policy No. 1406 “Employee Suggestion Award Program”, effective January 1, 1982 and revised September 1, 1989, shall be deleted from the Policies & Procedures Manual; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of West Allis to rescind all previous resolutions referred to above and discontinue the operation of the Suggestion Award Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Suggestion Award Committee be dissolved due to the discontinuance of the employee suggestion award program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Policy 1406 “Employee Suggestion Award Program” be deleted from the Policies & Procedures Manual, and all departments, divisions, and offices shall be so notified.
