Resolution to amend the Six Points/Farmers Market Redevelopment Plan relative to the acquisition of properties located between S. 63 St. and S. 64 St. on the north side of W. Greenfield Ave.

 

Body

 

WHEREAS, the Community Development Authority (“Authority”) of the City of West Allis, by Resolution  No. 567, adopted October 11, 2005, pursuant to Section 66.1333(6)(d) of Wisconsin Statutes, adopted an amendment to the Six Points/Farmers Market Redevelopment Plan for the acquisition of properties located between S. 63 St. and S. 64 St. on the north side of W. Greenfield Ave.; and,

 

WHEREAS, before the amendment can become effective, it must be approved by two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Common Council; and,

 

WHEREAS, the amendment will provide for the acquisition of certain land and interests as listed on Exhibit A (copy attached); and,

 

WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the City of West Allis, the duly designated and acting official planning body for the City of West Allis, has previously reviewed and determined that the Redevelopment Plan conforms to the General (Master) Plan of the City of West Allis and is sufficiently complete to indicate its relationship to definite local objectives, as provided in Sections 66.1333(6)(b)2. and (c) of the Wisconsin Statutes.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Six Points/Farmers Market Redevelopment Plan be amended relative to the acquisition of properties located between S. 63 St. and S. 64 St. on the north side of W. Greenfield Ave., be and is hereby approved.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Administrative Officer, Clerk/Treasurer be and is hereby authorized and directed to forthwith transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the Executive Director of the Authority.
