Title

Resolution relative to accepting  the proposal of North American Salt Co. for furnishing and delivering 5,500 tons of deicing road salt for a total sum of $150,125.00.

Body

WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a joint purchase proposal through The State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation for furnishing and delivering deicing road salt for the 2004-2005 winter season for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposal received was reasonable; and,

WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of North American Salt Co. be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal submitted by North American Salt Co. for furnishing and delivering 2000 tons early fill at $24.75/ton and 3,500 seasonal fill at $28.75 for a total net sum of  $150,125.00  be and is hereby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid material.
