Title

Resolution to transfer up to $20,000 from the Contingency Fund to the Fire Department Equipment Account (100-2201-522.70-05) for the emergency purchase of replacement defibrillators.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Fire Department is in need of the emergency purchase of replacement defibrillators for units that have been recalled by their distributor upon order from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration; and,

 

WHEREAS, the cost of these eleven (11) units for the Fire Department is approximately $25,000; and,

 

WHEREAS, the final cost is not yet determined; and,

 

WHEREAS, at the current time, the Fire Department has approximately $5,600 available; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Police & Fire Commission will consider the approval of the purchase of these eleven units at its meeting on November 18, 2004.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that up to $20,000 is hereby approved for transfer from the City's Contingency Fund to the Fire Department's Equipment Account (100-2201-522.70-05) for the purchase of the eleven (11) replacement defibrillators.
