Resolution authorizing change orders in the total amount of $6,915.04 to the Professional Service Contract of Kapur and Associates for Environmental and Design Services related to the partial demolition and reconstruction of the City's municipal waste incinerator building, with funding from the Land and Building fund.

WHEREAS, On May 4, 2004, the Common Council accepted the proposal of Kapur and Associates to provide environmental and design services related to the partial demolition and reconstruction of the City's municipal waste incinerator building: and,
WHEREAS, the scope of this work was limited to asbestos abatement, demolition and reconstruction of the building exclusively; and,
WHEREAS, as a result of the demolition and reconstruction, a number of site improvements have been mandated including the removal of an underground storage tank and the remediation of the site as a result of the tank removal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the existing contract with Kapur and Associates be modified to include all engineering work, plan revisions and site remediation work necessitated by the removal of the underground storage tank for a total sum of $6,915.04, with funding from the Land and Building fund.
