Resolution relative to determination of Special Use Permit for Cozy Corner Resale and Consignment, a proposed second-hand article retail store, to be located at 9100 W. National Ave.

WHEREAS, Nicole M. Cullen, d/b/a Cozy Corner Resale and Consignment, duly filed with the City Administrative Officer-Clerk/Treasurer an application for a Special Use Permit, pursuant to Sec. 12.41(2) and Sec. 12.16 of the Revised Municipal Code, to establish a second hand article retail store within existing commercial property located at 9100-9102 W. National Ave.; and,
WHEREAS, after due notice, a public hearing was held by the Common Council on February 4, 2014, at 7:00 p.m., in the Common Council Chambers to consider the application; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council, having carefully considered the evidence presented at the public hearing and the following pertinent facts noted:
1. The applicant, Nicole M. Cullen-Williams, d/b/a Cozy Corner Resale and Consignment, resides at 4128 N. Newhall St., Shorewood, WI 53211. The property is owned by Chuoi Van Tran, 3045 N. 122 St., Wauwatosa, WI 53222. The tenant has a valid offer to lease.
2. The applicant proposes to establish a second-hand article retail store, for the sale of the following items: dishware, household items such as vases and other small décor, pictures, bedding, clothing, children and infant toys, and other small miscellaneous items. The proposed retail floor area for the tenant space is approximately 750 sq. ft. located at 9100 W. National Ave., West Allis, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, more particularly described as follows:
All the land of the owner being located in the Southwest ¼ of Section 4, Township 6 North, Range 21 East, in the City of West Allis, Milwaukee County, State of Wisconsin, described as follows:
Lot 4 in Block 9 in the McGeoch's Woodlawn Addition subdivision.
