Resolution authorizing the submittal of a $200,000 Site-Specific Assessment Grant application for FY 2015 for the former Teledyne site located at 52** W. Burnham St.

Body
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis (the "City") has a mission to redevelop brownfield properties in order to foster tax base growth, create employment opportunities, and provide for new housing choices; and,

WHEREAS, the U.S. EPA Brownfield Grant program is a competitive grant application program to provide funds to investigate or clean-up various brownfield sites; and,

WHEREAS, match requirements of said grants would be appropriated by Tax Incremental District Number 12 - Teledyne and/or developer financing; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Development recommends the submittal of said grant application to support the clean-up and investigation costs associated with the future redevelopment of the former Teledyne site located at 52** W. Burnham St.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis as follows:

1. That the Director of Development, or his designee, to apply for, and if awarded, accept and enter into a contract for a U.S. EPA Brownfield Grant applications for FY 2015 including a $200,000 for Site-Specific Environmental Assessment Grant and a Coalition Assessment Grant with the Village of West Milwaukee for the Teledyne Site located at 52** W. Burnham St.

2. That the Director of Development, or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed to enter into all necessary contract requirements with the U.S. EPA for the aforesaid grants.

3. That the City Attorney be and is hereby authorized to make such substantive changes, modifications, additions and deletions to and from the various provisions of Contract with the U.S. EPA, including any and all attachments, exhibits, addendums and amendments, as may be necessary and proper to correct inconsistencies, eliminate ambiguity and otherwise clarify and supplement said provis...
