Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Truck Country of WI for furnishing and delivering one (1) used Dump/Hook Hoist Cab & Chassis for a total net sum of $47,062.50.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a proposal for furnishing and delivering one (1) 58000 GVW dump/hook hoist cab and chassis for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposal received was reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection due to the availability of used equipment that was the low bid on a previous RFP; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Truck Country of WI be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated April 13, 2004 submitted by Truck Country of WI, for furnishing and delivering one (1) used 2002 Freightliner FL80, 58000 GVW tandem axle cab & chassis for the total net sum of $47,062.50 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
