Resolution relative to determination of Special Use Permit to establish Guiding Light Holiness Temple, a proposed religious institution, to be located at 5928 W. Burnham St.

WHEREAS, Pastor Eric Jefferson, d/b/a Guiding Light Holiness Temple duly filed with the City Clerk an application for a special use permit, pursuant to Sec. 12.41(2), 12.49 and Sec. 12.16 of the Revised Municipal Code, to establish a church/religious institution within the existing mixed use commercial and residential building located at 5928 W. Burnham St.; and,

WHEREAS, after due notice, a public hearing was held by the Common Council on January 6, 2015, at 7:00 p.m., in the Common Council Chamber to consider the application; and,

WHEREAS, the Common Council, having carefully considered the evidence presented at the public hearing and the following pertinent facts noted:

1. The applicant, Pastor Eric Jefferson, d/b/a Guiding Light Holiness Temple has a valid offer to lease said premises. The property is owned by Shrek, LLC with offices at 544 Ogden Ave.
Milwaukee, WI 53202.

All the land of the owner being located in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 2, Township 6 North, Range 21 East, City of West Allis, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, described as follows:

Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 4 in Block 6 of the McGeoch Farm Subdivision No. 1; thence Westerly, 92.00 feet along the South line of said lot, said line being North right-of-way line of West Burnham Street; thence Northerly, 90.00 feet; thence Easterly, 92.00 feet, to the West right-of-way line of the adjacent alley; thence Southerly, 90.00 feet, along the said line to the Point of Beginning.
