Title

Resolution regarding 2010 Budget and the use of $1.3 million of City reserves as it relates to the 2011 City Budget.

Body

WHEREAS, the 2010 City Budget includes $1.3 million of City reserves to fill the projected budgeted shortfall; and,

WHEREAS, certain City unions have cooperated with the City with respect to the collective bargaining agreement for 2011 to aid in replenishing the funds used in the 2010 budget shortfall; and,

WHEREAS, the City budget process for 2011 must include a tax levy increase to implement the payback of 2011 budgeted funds to the City reserves.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that it does hereby state its intent to budget in 2011 in this manner to recover said use of $1.3 million of City reserves.
