Title

Resolution approving the agreement between the City of West Allis and Leon L. Johnson as an independent contractor for coordination of purchasing/central services.

Body

WHEREAS, Leon L. Johnson, Purchasing Manager for the City of West Allis, retired on January 5, 2004; and,

WHEREAS, there continues to be a need for someone to coordinate the purchasing/central services of the City until his vacant position is filled; and,

WHEREAS, Leon L. Johnson has indicated his willingness to work for the City as an independent contractor in this regard.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the attached agreement between the City of West Allis and Leon L. Johnson to serve as an independent contractor for the coordination of purchasing/central services be and is hereby approved.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement on behalf of the City.
