Resolution relative to amending the City of West Allis Policies & Procedures Manual No. 1424, Premium Pay, under Human Resources.

 

Body

WHEREAS, on December 1, 2015, the Common Council approved an amendment to the Premium Pay policy to include an on-call premium for Center for Excellence (IT) employees; and

 

WHEREAS, the Administration & Finance Committee had removed the proposed holiday pay premium for Center for Excellence (IT) employees and directed staff to review the holiday premium pays to ensure consistency and fairness for all employees receiving on-call premium pay; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Administrator, the Director of the Department of Public Works, and the Director of the Center for Excellence (IT) have reviewed premium pays as directed and concurred that all employees receiving on-call premiums should also receive a holiday premium pay.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that Policy No. 1424, Premium Pay, is approved as presented in the attached restatement.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Administrator is authorized and directed to include the amended Policy No. 1424 in the City’s Policies & Procedures manual and distribute said policy to all departments, divisions, and offices.
