Resolution requesting the transfer of $10,000 from the City's Contingency Fund to the City Attorney's Litigation Account.
Body
WHEREAS, the annual budget for the City of West Allis always includes a specified amount in the City Attorney's Office budget for litigation costs (Account No. 100-0302-516-3005); and,
WHEREAS, the amount budgeted for 2014 was $10,000; and,
WHEREAS, the litigation costs to date this year have been higher than an average year due to a large number of lawsuits; and,
WHEREAS, unlike some other years, other available funds in other City Attorney budget accounts are not available for transfer to cover the litigation account costs overage; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide additional funds to the Litigation Account to cover such additional costs for the remainder of the 2014 budget year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that $10,000 is hereby approved for transfer from the City's Contingency Fund to the City Attorney's Office Budget Litigation Account.
