Resolution Approving an Agreement between the City of West Allis and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) to receive $89,000 in funding through the MMSD Green Solutions Program for the installation of Green Infrastructure in the West Allis Business Improvement District Municipal Parking Lot.

Body
WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statues Section 66.0301 authorizes any municipality to enter into an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement with another municipality for the furnishing of services; and,

WHEREAS, the City of West Allis recognizes the importance of the use of Green Infrastructure for managing storm water in a sustainable manner; and,

WHEREAS, in this action the City has declared its intent to work with MMSD on this Green Infrastructure project to install pervious pavers to capture and retain stormwater as part of the installation of a new parking lot pavement in the Business Improvement District Municipal Parking Lot between 72nd and 73rd Streets and north of W. Greenfield Avenue; and,

WHEREAS, the MMSD will provide funding not to exceed $89,000 for the installation of the pervious pavement through their Green Solutions Program; and,

WHEREAS, the City will maintain records documenting all expenditures made during the green infrastructure installation.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the City Engineer be and is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a Green Solutions Funding Agreement with the MMSD for the installation of Green Infrastructure in the proposed West Allis Library Parking Lot repaving, a copy of the Green Solutions Funding Agreement is attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the total eligible estimated project cost is $281,000 of which $40,000 is the MMSD share through the Green Infrastructure Funding program and another $89,000 is the MMSD share through the Green Solutions Funding program and the remaining $152,000 is the...
