Resolution approving an amendment to the Community Development Block Grant Action Plan, B-06-MC-55-0011, reducing the overall budget by $148,000 in accordance with the final allocation of entitlement funds from the federal government.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis is recognized as an entitlement community that receives an annual allocation of Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) funds; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of West Allis approved on October 4, 2005, the Fiscal Year 2006 Annual CDBG Action Plan under Resolution No. R-2005-0244; and,
WHEREAS, the original budget of $1,781,546 was derived based on estimates provided by HUD; and,
WHEREAS, the final allocation was reduced by $148,000 based on the total funding level provided to the CDBG Program by Congress; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Development has recommended approval of the amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that it hereby approves an amendment to the Community Development Block Grant Action Plan,
B-06-MC-55-0011, reducing the overall budget by $148,000 in accordance with the final total allocation of entitlement funds from the federal government.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the revised budget attached as Exhibit 1 is hereby approved with a total budget amount of $1,633,493.
