WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of LaLonde Contractors, Inc. for 2003 Project No. 12 be accepted.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of LaLonde Contractors, Inc. for 2003 Project No. 12:

 

Street Construction in

S. 122 St. from W. Oklahoma Ave. to W. Holt Ave. and

S. 121 St. from approx. 250 ft. north of W. Burdick Ave. and W. Ohio Ave.

(Plan File No(s). SP-1085 & SP-1086)

 

for the reconstruction of the concrete pavement and driveway approaches and miscellaneous sidewalk repair

 

for the sum of Four Hundred Twenty-Two Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-Nine Dollars and Eighty-Five Cents ($422,439.85)

 

be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding by Bond Funds and Special Assessments.
