Resolution to approve an agreement with WE Energies on cost sharing the removal of railroad/trolley tracks on W. Lapham Street.

WHEREAS, railroad/trolley tracks were once placed along West Lapham Street from 84th to 92nd Streets; and,
WHEREAS, due to the reconstruction of West Lapham Street from 84th Street to 92nd Street, the old railroad/trolley tracks found to remain between 84th to 87th Streets must be removed prior to reconstruction; and,
WHEREAS, WE Energies has offered to pay $15,000 toward the estimated total cost of $27,000 to remove the old railroad/trolley tracks.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the City Engineer be and is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with WE Energies. The City Engineer is authorized, upon advice of the City Attorney, to make minor changes in the agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funds be credited to the West Lapham Street construction account.
