Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Badger Lighting & Signs for furnishing and installing a double-sided monument sign for a total sum of $27,760.70.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it duly advertised a request for proposal for furnishing and installing a double-sided monument sign for the Centennial Park & Plaza of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Community Centennial Plaza Park project has $17,428.12 remaining in the project's budget for the proposed Plaza monument sign; and,
WHEREAS, an additional $10,332.58 of CDBG contingency funds shall be allocated to the Community Centennial Plaza Park project (Project Number C07409) to cover the remainder cost of the monument sign; and
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Badger Lighting & Signs be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis as follows:
1. That $10,332.58 of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") contingency funds be allocated and transferred to the CDBG Community Centennial Plaza Park project for the purchase and construction of the Centennial Plaza Park monument sign.
2. That the proposal dated September 23, 2009 submitted by Badger Lighting & Signs for one (1) Optec double-sided monument sign with double face full color Optec programmable display with text and animation capability for the total net sum of $27,760.70 in accordance with City of West Allis RFP #1051 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
