Title

Resolution Authorizing and Directing the Director of Public Works/City Engineer to Pay For Sanitary Sewer Lateral Repairs at 1944 South 84^th Street in the Total Amount of $9,894.72.

Body

WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has a long standing policy of the City's responsibility for making repairs to sanitary sewer laterals from the point of connection to the main sanitary sewer line up through the riser connection or failures due to construction of City utilities; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has determined that the sanitary sewer lateral at 1944 South 84^th Street failed under the water main relay based on field observations; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be and is hereby authorized and directed to make fair payment for the repair work to Gene A. Wagner Plumbing Co., Inc. in the amount of $9,257.22 and to Milwaukee Plumbing and Piping, Inc. in the amount of $637.50.  Payment to be made from the appropriate Sanitary Sewer Utility account.
