Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Works to enter into an agreement with Zimmerman Architectural Studios, Inc. for architectural services related to the design and construction of a 4500 square foot addition to the Police Court Center at a proposed cost of $43,200 for said services.

WHEREAS, the West Allis Police Chief has determined that additional interior vehicular storage space is now required to improve the efficiency of the Department's operations; and,

 

WHEREAS, in 1994, Zimmerman Design Group was contracted to provide architectural services related to the design and construction of the new City of West Allis Police Court Center; and,

 

WHEREAS, given the thorough knowledge of the design and construction of the Police Court Center by Zimmerman Architectural Studio, Inc., formerly Zimmerman Design Group, staff believes that this firm is best situated to provide the design services related to this project.

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Director of Public Works working with the City Attorney, is authorized to enter into a formal agreement with Zimmerman Architectural Studio, Inc. to provide architectural and engineering services related to the design and construction of an addition of approximately 4500 square feet to the existing Police Court Center as outlined in the attached proposal dated June 22, 2007.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the estimated costs of $43,200 for such services shall be paid from funds from the City's Land and Building Fund.
