Resolution relative to accepting the single source proposal of JX Peterbilt for furnishing a 2017 Peterbilt Model 320 Tandem Axle Truck Chassis with an extended 5 year/100,000 mile Engine Warranty for a total net sum of $139,360.00.

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Division has reported that it has received a proposal for providing the replacement cab for the recycling truck that was damaged this past February 2016, from JX Peterbilt. The funding for the unit has already been received from the City’s insurance company; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Division has received a memorandum from the Public Works Department, Fleet Division, concerning the Peterbilt 320 and that it gives their department the flexibility, reliability, and uniformity the department requires for its fleet and fleet maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City of West Allis that the proposal of JX Peterbilt be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated March 23, 2016, submitted by JX Peterbilt for providing one Peterbilt 320 tandem axle truck chassis with extended warranty for a total net sum of $139,360.00 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Purchasing Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid service.
