Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Motorola, Inc. for furnishing and delivering ten (10) mobile radios for a total sum of $10,200.00

WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a proposal for furnishing and delivering mobile radios for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposal received was reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Motorola, Inc. be accepted.
WHEREAS, the Purchasing/Central Services Division of the Department of Administration & Finance has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection due to the items being purchased are propriatary products compatible with the existing trunked radio system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated September 5, 2002 submitted by Motorola, Inc. for furnishing and delivering ten (10) LCS 2000 mobile radios for a total net sum of $10,200.00 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order for the aforesaid equipment.
