Resolution relative to approving an amendment to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program for FY2012 for the creation of a Downtown West Allis Public Amenity Project.
Body
WHEREAS, the Downtown West Allis Public Amenity Project is a project to improve public amenities such as waste receptacles & bike racks in the Downtown Business Improvement District; and,
WHEREAS, the project activity is eligible for Community Development Block Grant funds as it fulfills Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) national objective to assist low-to moderate-income areas; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Development has recommended approval of this project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that it hereby approves an amendment to the Community Development Block Grant Program, Annual Action Plan for FY 2012, creating the Downtown West Allis Public Amenity Project with a budget not to exceed $8,665.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funding for the creation of a Downtown West Allis Public Amenity Project be made available through a reduction to the following program:
$8,665 from the CDBG Contingency Fund.
