Resolution relative to accepting the proposals of Crescent Electric and Graybar Electric Co. for furnishing and delivering electric power cable for a total sum of $43,234.00.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it duly advertised a request for proposal for furnishing and delivering 5000 volt street light cable and 5000 volt pole and bracket cable for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposals of Crescent Electric and Graybar Electric Co. be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated February 9, 2007 submitted by Crescent Electric for furnishing and delivering 20,000 ft AIW No. 8 direct burial street light cable for $26,024.00 and the proposal dated February 13, 2007 submitted by Graybar Electric Co. for 20,000 ft. of Draka No. 8 pole and bracket cable for $17,210.00 for a total net sum of $43,234.00 in accordance with City of West Allis RFP 949 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid material.
