Resolution authorizing the Department of Development to complete, in conjunction with the Wisconsin State Fair Park Exposition Center, Inc., a consultant selection process for a Hotel Feasibility Study

WHEREAS, the City of West Allis and the Wisconsin State Fair Park Board wish to determine if a hotel facility in the area of the Wisconsin State Fair Park grounds is feasible; and,
WHEREAS, both parties will mutually benefit by the establishment of a quality hotel on Wisconsin State Fair Park property and hereby agree to jointly fund the study with each party funding 50% of the project cost, currently estimated at $20,000.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Department of Development, working together with the Wisconsin State Fair Park Exposition Center, Inc. be and is hereby authorized to complete a consultant selection process and to select a consultant for a Feasibility Study for a hotel facility in the area of the Wisconsin State Fair Park grounds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, subject to approval of the matching funds by the Wisconsin State Fair Park Exposition Center, Inc., a sum not to exceed $10,000 be and is hereby appropriated from Community Development Block Grant Funds to pay the liability that will be incurred by the City for the aforementioned feasibility study.
