An Ordinance to Create Subsections 10.065(7)(d), (e), (f) and (g) of the West Allis Revised Municipal Code Relating to Restricted Parking Zones for Physically Disabled Persons

The Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:

PART I. Subsections 10.065(7)(d), (e), (f) and (g) of the Revised Municipal Code are hereby created to read:

10.065 LOADING AND SPECIAL PARKING ZONES

(7) Restricted Parking Zones for Physically Disabled Persons.

(d) Except for a motor vehicle used by a physically disabled person as defined under section 346.503(1) of the Wisconsin Statutes, no person may park, stop or leave standing any vehicle, whether attended or unattended and whether temporarily or otherwise, upon any portion of a street, highway or parking facility reserved, by official traffic signs indicating the restriction, for vehicles displaying special registration plates issued for physical disability under Wisconsin Statutes or special identification card issued under section 343.51 of the Wisconsin Statutes or vehicles registered in another jurisdiction and displaying a registration plate, card or emblem issued by the other jurisdiction which designates the vehicle as a vehicle used by a physically disabled person.

(e) No person may park, stop or leave standing any vehicle, whether attended or unattended and whether temporarily or otherwise, upon any portion of a street, highway or parking facility so as to obstruct, block or otherwise limit the use of any portion of a street, highway or parking facility reserved, by official traffic signs indicating the restriction, for vehicles displaying special registration plates issued for physical disability under Wisconsin Statutes or a special identification card issued under section 343.51 of the Wisconsin Statutes or vehicles registered in another jurisdiction and displaying a registration plate, card or emblem issued by the other jurisdiction which designates ...
