Resolution to approve bid of Musson Brothers, Inc. for street construction, sanitary sewer relay, water main relay, storm sewer, building services and utility adjustments in S. 88th Street from W. Becher St. to West Grant Street and S. Orleans Avenue from S. 88th Street to West Stuth Avenue, in the amount of $797,263.80.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid Musson Brothers, Inc. for 2009 Project No. 9 be accepted.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of Musson Brothers, Inc. for 2009 Project No. 9:

 

Street Construction, SanitarySewer Relay, Water Main Relay, Storm Sewer, Building Services and Utility Adjustments in S. 88th Street from W. Becher St. to West Grant Street and S. Orleans Avenue from S. 88th Street to West Stuth Avenue

 

(Plan File Nos. SP-1142, SP-1146, S-1369, S-1370, U-2489, U-2490, W-1276)

 

for the sum of  Seven Hundred Ninety Seven Two Hundred Sixty-Three and 80/100 dollars ($797,263.80)

 

be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding by Sanitary Sewer Funds, Storm Water Management Funds, Water Utility Funds, Bond Funds and Funds from Special Assessments.
