Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Kempler Industries Inc. for furnishing one (1) used hydraulic press brake for a total net sum of $18,500.00.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a proposal for a hydraulic press brake for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Kempler Industries Inc. be accepted; and,
WHEREAS, the Equipment Division of the Department of Public Works has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection because of the need to replace their mechanical press for safety reasons and this was the best hydraulic brake priced within their budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated April 2, 2009 submitted by Kempler Industries Inc. for providing one (1) used Dreis & Krump hydraulic press brake for the total net sum of $18,500.00 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
