Resolution to adopt City of West Allis Core Values and Core Competencies.
Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council adopted Resolution No. R-2016-0054 on March 1, 2016, to endorse the City of West Allis Innovation, Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement Activities which directed City leaders, in part, to create a culture of daily, continuous improvement and innovation and make time to implement changes; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis has adopted a 2017-2021 Strategic Plan which establishes goals, priorities, objectives, and strategies for the next five years to meet the needs of the community and the organization; and
WHEREAS, Strategic Goal #5 - Excellence in Government provides that “The City of West Allis will continually review the best methods for effective and efficient service delivery by utilizing continuous improvement and LEAN operation techniques. Innovation and service excellence is expected and employees will be held accountable and rewarded for such;” and
WHEREAS, in order to accomplish the strategic goals and provide an effective pay-for-performance program and performance review process, organizational core values and competencies must be established and expectations shared with employees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City West Allis endorses the Core Values and Core Competencies.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Core Values and Competencies are a basis for the
pay-for-performance program and performance review process for employees.
