Title

Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Works/City Engineer to enter into a Green Infrastructure Ten Year Maintenance Covenant with Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) to be in compliance with their Green Solutions Funding agreement which will provide $73,555 for the Green Infrastructure installed in West Durham Avenue.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City of West Allis (the “City”) recognizes the importance of the proper maintenance of Green Infrastructure for it to continue managing storm water in a sustainable manner; and,

 

WHEREAS, in this action the City has declared its intent to properly maintain this Green Infrastructure project where pervious pavers were installed to capture and retain stormwater as part of the reconstruction of West Durham Avenue; and,

 

WHEREAS, the City will maintain the green infrastructure in the West Durham Avenue throughout this Green Infrastructure Ten Year Maintenance Covenant; and,

 

WHEREAS, the MMSD will provide funding not to exceed $73,555 for the installation of the pervious pavement through their Green Solutions Program once this Green Infrastructure Ten Year Maintenance Covenant is in place; and,

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of West Allis grants MMSD a Green Infrastructure Ten Year Maintenance Covenant for the pervious pavers installed in West Durham Avenue.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer is hereby directed and authorized to enter into a Green Infrastructure Ten Year Maintenance Covenant with Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District in compliance with the Green Solutions funding requirements.
