WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of Payne & Dolan, Inc. for 2004 Project No. 13 be accepted.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of Payne & Dolan for 2004 Project No. 13:

 

Street Construction

S. 70 St. from approximately 58 ft. south of W. Washington St. on the west side to W. Greenfield Ave.

(Plan File No(s). SP-1083, SP-1083M, I-929, X-752, X-753)

 

for major asphalt resurfacing of the pavement with miscellaneous walk repair, streetscaping and utility adjustments

 

for the sum of Three Hundred Thirty-two Thousand, Eight Hundred Eighteen Dollars and Ninety-two Cents ($332,818.92)

 

be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding by Bond Funds, Water Utility Funds, Sanitary Sewer Funds, Storm Water Management Funds and Special Assessments.
