Title

Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of North American Salt for furnishing and delivering 3400 tons of deicing road salt for $93,466.00.

Body

WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a joint purchase proposal through The State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation for furnishing and delivering deicing road salt for the 2003-2004 winter season, that the proposal received was reasonable; and,

WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of North American Salt be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal submittted by North American Salt for furnishing and delivering 3400 tons of sodium chloride at $27.49/ton for the total net sum of $93,466.00 be and is hereby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order for the aforesaid material.
