Resolution relative to a one-year extension (for 2010) of the Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement between the City of West Allis (Fire Department) and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District for Tunnel Rescue Team and Services in the amount of $356,534.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) entered into a five and one-half intergovernmental cooperation agreement in 2004 regarding tunnel rescue team and services; and,
WHEREAS, the MMSD has requested that the City of West Allis (Fire Department) continue to provide said team and services for one additional year (2010) for the sum of $356,534; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to continue to provide said team and services to the MMSD; and,
WHEREAS, the West Allis Police & Fire Commission, at its meeting on November 19, 2009, has approved and recommends this one-year extension.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the attached Amendment Number One be and is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute said amendment on behalf of the City.
